Fakhrī Khurvash (May 31, 1929 – June 10, 2023) was a renowned Iranian actress. Despite facing initial opposition from her parents, Khurvash pursued her passion and began performing in Tehran. Her debut in cinema was in 1958 with the film “Buhlūl”. She acted in over 50 films and directed several plays. Khorvash received critical acclaim for her role in “Mr. Gullible” (1970), which won the Jury award at the Moscow International Film Festival in 1971. She also won the Best Actress award at the Sepas festival that year. In 2010, she received honorary recognition for her lifetime achievements at the Iranian Film Festival in San Francisco.
