Ruyā (Dilārā) Taymūrīyān is an Iranian actress born on March 19, 1959, in Tehran, Iran. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in acting and theater directing from the University of Art in Tehran. Her fame began to shine in the Iranian film industry with “Mard-i Bārānī” in 1999. A year later, she received the Golden Statue for Best Leading Role from the House of Cinema with the film “Women’s Prison” (2002). She was nominated several times for the Best Actress award at the Fajr International Film Festival and the House of Cinema.
