Khosrow Shakibaei/Khosrow Shakībāʾī/خسرو شکیبایی

Khosrow Shakībāʾī (March 27, 1944 – July 18, 2008), born in Tehran, was a celebrated Iranian actor and writer. He studied acting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. Before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, he was active in theater and dubbing. His film debut was in Khaṭṭ-e Ghermez (Red Line, 1982) by Masʿūd Kīmīāʾī. Shakībāʾī appeared in over 50 films, including Kāghaz-e Bī Khaṭṭ (Unruled Paper, 2002), Otobūs-e Shab (Night Bus, 2007), and Del Shekasteh (Heart Broken, 2009). His portrayal of Ḥamīd Hāmūn in Hāmūn (1990), directed by Dāryūsh Mehrjūʾī, remains a career highlight.
