Hassan Mohaddesi Ghilevaaeii
Hassan Mohaddesi Ghilevaaeii (1966-) is an assistant professor of sociology at Islamic Azad University, Central Tehran Branch. He researches and works in the fields of religion, culture, family, and social criticism. His books include zir-e saghf-e eteghad (under roof of belief), published by Farhang va Andishe publication in 2005, ravayat-e irani-ye jamaeishenasi-ye din (The Iranian Narrative of the Sociology of Religion, two vol.), published in Teasa publication in 2019 & 2024, nazarie-yi dar bare-ye din va shadi (A Theory of on Religion and Happiness), published in Naghd-e Farhang publication in 2018, khoda va khyaban: nesbat-e amr-e motaal va nazm-e ejtemaei-siasi (God and the Street: The Relation of the Supreme Being and the Socio-Political Order), published in Naghd-e Farhang publication in 2019, takhrib-e ghalamro-ye dini (Destruction of Religious Realm), published in Navid-e Sobh in 2021, zan, eshgh, jenayat: dastanha-ye vaghei-ye shouharkoshi az zaban-e zanan (Woman, Love, Crime: True Stories of Mariticide from the Voices of Women), and do seh kharvar kiasat (Two Three sack perspicacity), published in Sahar Publication in 2025. One of his books, A Pagan in the Prophet’s Family (co-authored with Bijan Abdolkarimi), has been translated into Arabic and Kurdish. One of his areas of study has been the works of Dr. Ali Shariati. He has written introductions to translation of two books of Ali Shariati to Arabic. He has also translated several books from English to Persian with his colleagues. Hasan has published numerous articles in Iran on religion and religiosity in Iran, Ideology, corruption, lie-telling, and industry of body.
