Elham Mayahi

Elham Mayahi holds a Ph.D. in Art Research from the Faculty of Art at Tehran University, where she earned her doctoral degree with distinction. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Art and Architecture at the University of Science and Culture. Additionally, she teaches at Islamic Azad University (Tehran’s Central Branch) and Pars University of Art and Architecture. She serves as the Chair of the Art Research Department at Elm International Academy. She is also a permanent member of the Iranian Society for Literary Criticism.
Her interdisciplinary research spans multiple fields, including sociology, philosophy, comparative literature, and visual arts, with a particular emphasis on contemporary Iranian cultural production. Elham Mayahi’s work explores the intersection of art, gender, and modern Iranian identity, offering insights into the evolving cultural landscape of contemporary Iran. Beyond her numerous scholarly publications, she regularly contributes to Anthropology and Culture, where she engages critically with philosophical and cultural debates surrounding identity, aesthetics, and gender in contemporary Iran.
