ʿAlī Nāṣirīān (February 4, 1935 –), born in Tehran, is a celebrated Iranian actor, playwright, and director in cinema, theater, and television. In 2001, he was recognized as an enduring figure in Iranian acting and awarded the Grade One Artistic Order. Nāṣirīān’s cinematic career began with Gāv (The Cow, 1969), directed by Dāryūsh Mehrjūʾī, which remains one of his most iconic roles. He won Best Screenwriter for Āqā-ye Halū (Mr. Gullible, 1970) at the 3rd Sepās Film Festival. He received Crystal Simorghs for Best Actor for Shīr-e Sangī (Stone Lion, 1987) and Sāl-hā-ye Khākestarī (The Years of Ash, 1988). In 2023, at the age of 88, he won the same award for Haft Bahār-e Nārenj (Seven Citrus Aurantium). His work in the TV series Shahrzād (2015–2018) earned him the Hafez Award in 2016.
