Afsānah Bāyigān is a well-known Iranian actress with a career spanning decades. She gained recognition at 15 when she won second place in Iran’s prestigious “Miss Iran”  held by Zan-i Rūz magazine. Her film debut in “Gumshudah” in 1986 became the year’s best-selling film. She emerged as the era’s first female superstar throughout the 80s, starring in hit movies like “Let Me Live” in 1986. Bāyigān received acclaim and Fajr International Film Festival nominations for her roles in “One Ticket, Two Movies!” (1990), “The Double Lottie” (1995), and “Cafe Setareh” (2004). She also left her mark in television with appearances in “SMS from Another World” (2008) and “Vaz‛īyyat-i Sifīd” (2011).
