Ārbī Uvānisīyān (born February 20, 1942) is an Iranian-Armenian multifaceted professional. Ovanessian, who currently resides in Iran, possesses extensive experience in filmmaking and theater direction, in addition to working as a university lecturer, stage designer, and translator of Armenian works. Ovanessian began his studies at the School of Foreign Languages at the University of Tehran in 1961. Subsequently, from 1963 to 1964, he pursued his studies in film direction at the London International Film School. Later, during his stay in the United States, he expanded his knowledge in dramatic arts. Following a short period of perfecting his craft, he returned to Iran in 1966 to use his expertise to advance Iranian theater and cinema.
