Āzītā Hajīyān, born on January 11, 1958, is an Iranian actress with a bachelor’s degree in acting and theater directing from the University of Art in Tehran. She began her career in theater as both an actress and director in 1975 before transitioning to cinema in 1990. Her remarkable performance in “Rūbān-i Qirmiz” won her the Best Actress award at the 1999 Fajr International Film Festival. The film also received the Golden Shell at the San Sebastian International Film Festival. Today, she is a leading acting instructor in Iran.
