Two Women | DuZan | دو زن

Zan (The Two Women) is a 1999 Iranian romantic movie written and directed by Tahmineh Milani (Tahmīnih Mīlānī). The main characters are two women who were former architecture students, and the film’s events revolve around their lives. When Farishtih asks her friend Ruyā for assistance because her husband Ahmad is in hospital, Ruyā rushes there from her construction company, where she works as an architect. She recalls her college days, when she first met Farishtih and their friendship began. The film won the best screenplay award at Iran’s Fajr Film Festival in 1999, as well as the best actress award at Italy’s Taormina Film Fest (TFF).
