Farhād Ā’īsh (born 1952, Shemiran, Tehran, Iran) has had a diverse and thriving career as an artist. He began his education in Tehran then he traveled to the United Kingdom and the United States to further his studies in filmmaking and photography. After switching from photography to theater, he directed and acted in several plays in Persian and English. His artistic endeavors were global, with contributions to over 30 productions in cities such as San Francisco, Washington, Boston, and Berlin. After 27 years abroad, Ayish returned to Iran in 1997, pursuing his career and leaving an indelible mark on the worlds of Iranian theater and the film industry.
