Parvīn Khayrbakhsh, also known as Furūzān, was a renowned Iranian actress, producer, and dubbing artist. She was born on August 9, 1937, in Bandar Anzali, Iran. Initially, she began her career as a dubber but later transitioned to films. She made her debut in the movie “Waiting Beach” in 1963 and gained immense popularity with “Ganj-i Qārūn” in 1965, co-starring with Muhammad-‛Alī Fardīn in some of the most successful movies of that time. One of the brightest moments of her professional career was her performance in the movie “The Cycle” (1977). However, after the 1979 revolution, she was prohibited from appearing in any more films. She passed away on January 24, 2016, in Tehran.
