Hamīd Rizā Āshtīyānīpūr (born in 1963, Tehran, Iran) has an illustrious career as an actor and director. He graduated from Tarbiat Modares University with a master’s degree in film direction. He has received critical acclaim for his significant contributions to films such as Flames of Wrath (Shu‛lihā-yi khashm, 1993), A Girl Named Tondar (Dukhtarī bi nām-i Tundar, 2000), and Sharks (Kūsah-ha, 1995).
