Hamīdah Khayrābādī, widely known as Nādirah, was a well-known Iranian actress in cinema, television, and theater, and was recognized as the mother of Iranian cinema. She was born on December 21, 1924. Some of her most notable works include outstanding performances in films such as “The Night Story” (1973), “Hassan, the Bald” (1970), “Mamal Āmrīkāyī” (1975), and “Golden Heel” (1975). After the 1979 Revolution, her role in the movie “Mother” (1990) stood out as one of her most impressive achievements. Khayrābādī passed away on April 19, 2010, in Tehran, Iran.
