Ḥosayn Panāhī (August 28, 1956 – August 4, 2004), born in Qalʿeh-ye Dezh Kūh, was a talented Iranian actor, director, writer, and poet. In 1990, he won the Honorary Diploma for Best Leading Role at the Fajr International Film Festival for Sāyeh-ye Khīāl (The Shadow of Imagination, 1991). His notable films include Dar Maṣīr-e Tondbād (Eye of the Hurricane, 1989) and Mohājerān (The Immigrants, 1992).
