Jamīlah Shaykhī (April 29, 1930- May 23, 2001) was an Iranian actress. Encouraged by her family, she made her professional debut in 1957 with “Father.” She co-founded a new theater group within the Theater Department and later transitioned to television in 1960. In 1991, Shaykhī won the Crystal Simorgh at the 10th Fajr International Film Festival for her role in “Travelers.” She also had notable roles in “Patriarch”(1994) and “Hamsarān” (1994). In addition, she received another Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actress in “Leila” (1997) at the 15th Fajr International Film Festival. Her final film was “Unruled Paper” (2002).
