Kāmbūzīyā Partuvī (March 9, 1956 –– November 24, 2020) was an Iranian filmmaker and screenwriter. He was recognized for directing and writing the film Border Cafe(Café Transit, 2005), which explores themes of love and family. Partovi worked with renowned directors such as Abbas Kiarostami and focused on portraying the intricacies of human relationships and daily life in Iran. Although his fame and stature are not as great as those of some of his contemporaries, he is highly esteemed within the Iranian film industry for his perceptive depictions of Iranian people and their customs. He died of COVID-19 at the age of 64.
