Mānī Haqīqī (born May 5, 1969, Tehran, Iran) is a screenwriter, director, and actor based in Iran. Despite having studied philosophy, he started a prolific career as a filmmaker in 2002. Haghighi’s family has had a longstanding presence in Iranian cinema. His mother, Līlī Gulistān, is a well-known translator, and his father, Ni‛matallah Haghighi, is a well-known cinematographer. More importantly, he is the grandson of Ibrāhīm Gulistān, a well-known Iranian literary figure. Haghighi’s contributions to Iranian cinema have firmly established his stature as a noteworthy figure in the industry.
