Mahdī Fakhīmzādah (born July 11, 1942, Tehran, Iran) is a well-known Iranian artist and is acknowledged for his varied roles in film production, acting, directing, and writing. Fakhimzadeh holds a bachelor’s degree in French language and literature from the University of Tehran and graduated from the Tehran College of Dramatic Arts. His career began in theater and then he made his film debut in Rizā Mīrluhī’s The Fatty (Tupulī, 1972). He played Umar ibn Sa‛d in the TV series Mukhtārnāmah (2010–2011), which was one of his most memorable roles. He is also well-known for his movie reviews.
