Muhammad Rizā Aslānī (born December 9, 1943, Rasht, Iran) is a director, well-known for his creative works in Iranian cinema before and after the revolution. Aslani received his BFA in painting and sculpture from the University of Art in Tehran. Aslani began his career in the 1960s as a New Wave poet.
