Muhsin Amīryūsufī (born February 24, 1972, Abadan, Iran) is an Iranian film producer, screenwriter, and director. Currently, he serves as the president of the Directors Guild of Iran. He graduated from Isfahan University with a degree in mathematics. Amiryoussefi has directed three major films: Bitter Dream (Khāb-i Talkh, 2004), Fire Keeper (Ātashkār, 2009), and Lovely Trash (Āshghāl-hā-yi Dūst Dāshtanī, 2013). His first picture, Bitter Dream, was well-received at international film festivals and marked the beginning of his successful career as a director.
