Parvīz Shahbāzī (born December 1, 1967, Tehran, Iran), a graduate of the Broadcasting University of Iran, began his career in the late 1980s, focusing on producing short films with compelling storylines. Before the release of his debut full-length feature film, A Traveler from the South (Musāfir-i Junūb, 1996), he had produced twelve short films. His most recent film, Roxana (2023), received multiple award nominations at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
