Reza Kianian/Rezā Kīānīān/رضا کیانیان

Rezā Kīānīān (June 20, 1951 –), born in Tehran, is a renowned Iranian actor. He began his cinematic journey in 1989 with Tamām-e Vasvasehā-ye Zamīn (All the Temptations on Earth). His career peaked with Ajāns-e Shīsheyī (The Glass Agency, 1998), earning him the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 16th Fajr International Film Festival. His memorable roles include Sag-koshī (Killing Mad Dogs, 2001), Sinamā Sinamast (Cinema is Cinema, 1998), Gāhī be Āsemān Negāh Kon (Take a Look at the Sky Sometimes, 2003), Yek Ḥabb-e Qand (A Cube of Sugar, 2011), and Kafsh-hāyam Kū? (Where Are My Shoes?, 2016). Kīānīān received a Crystal Simorgh for Best Leading Actor for Khāneh-ī Rū-ye Āb (A House Built on Water, 2002) and the Golden Palette for Farsh-e Bād (The Wind Carpet, 2003).
