Ruyā (Dilārā) Taymūrīyān is an Iranian actress born on March 19, 1959, in Tehran, Iran. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in acting and theater directing from the University of Art in Tehran. Her fame began to shine in the Iranian film industry with “Mard-i Bārānī” in 1999. A year later, she received the Golden Statue for Best Leading Role from the House of Cinema with the film ” Women’s Prison” (2002). She was nominated several times for the Best Actress award at the Fajr International Film Festival and the House of Cinema.
