Shahāb Ḥoseynī (February 3, 1974 –), born in Tehran, is a highly acclaimed Iranian actor. He received the Silver Bear for Best Actor as part of the ensemble cast of Jodāʾī-ye Nāder az Sīmīn (A Separation, 2011) and won Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival for Forūshandeh (The Salesman, 2016). Other accolades include the Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor in Superstar (2009) and honorary diplomas for Mahyā (2008) and Dar bāre-ye Elī (About Elly, 2009). His notable works include Ensīlumī (Any Day Now, 2020), Ḥiss Dokhtarhā Faryād Nemīzanand (Hush! Girls Don’t Scream, 2013), and Shahrzād (2015–2018). He was honored with the Legion of Honour by the French government in 2019.
