Bahman Farjami (Bahman Farmanara), a director returning to filmmaking after a long hiatus, is tasked with creating a documentary about post-death customs in Iran for Japanese TV. On the anniversary of his wife’s passing, he encounters a perplexing series of events: while visiting her grave, a young woman leaves a deceased baby in his car, and he discovers a stranger’s burial in the adjacent plot, which should belong to him. He goes to his lawyer to resolve these issues. Later, he discovers that his writer friend – Amir – is suspiciously missing and goes to the hospital morgue to find him. This friend is later found and temporarily relieved. he lines between reality and his own film project blur as he continues the documentary preparations, facing personal challenges like caring for his mother with Alzheimer’s. Tragically, the news of Amir’s demise leads to Farjami’s own cardiac arrest, prompting him to cancel the documentary plans. However, the following morning, he realizes that it was all just a disturbing nightmare and the film crew is ready for production. The nightmare’s intensity subsides when he receives joyful news of his grandson’s birth, signifying that no death occurred, and everything was a mere product of his imagination.
