Jabbar, a bully in the village, constantly harasses Maryam. Reza proposes to Maryam through his sister. When Maryam gives birth to a son, Jabbar kidnaps her and takes her to the mountains. Maryam escapes with the help of one of Jabbar’s men, while her husband and son, Ahmad, have gone to Tehran. Maryam follows them to the city; however, Reza, who mistrusts Maryam, drives her away.
