In the year 1948, in the occupied city of Haifa, Palestine, Dr. Saeed, along with his wife Latifeh and their baby Farhan, live peacefully. However, trouble ensues when Dr. Saeed witnesses his childhood Jewish friend, Shimon, involved in a train bombing. Fearful of retaliation, Dr. Saeed faces difficulties, and his family’s safety is at risk. Safieh, Saeed’s mother, arrives to encourage her son to leave the city, but before they can depart, Haifa is attacked by Zionist forces. Only Safieh and Farhan survive from their family. Safieh becomes a nanny for Farhan in a Jewish household, and Dr. Saeed’s wife plans a bombing retaliation. The events unfold dramatically, leading to an explosion on the train, injuring Safieh and Farhan.
