The Fratricide | برادرکشی

PersianAdventure, Drama 92 min 1978

Two families, due to a murder that occurred between them, have a longstanding and deep-rooted enmity that periodically leads to bloody conflicts among their members. While the father of Gholam, Hesam, and Sam is in prison for killing the uncle of Reza, Hojat, Hashmat, and Belgheys, which caused the feud between the two families, Hesam is killed by Reza when he secretly goes to Reza’s house to retrieve his pigeon. After some time, Sam and Belgheys, a boy and a girl from these two families, fall in love with each other, leading to a renewed standoff between the two families. The conflicts escalate, and the young couple decides to flee to escape the family disputes, but they are arrested by the police, and the girl is sent back home. When Belgheys’s family decides to marry her off to their apprentice, Sam leaves his home to prevent this. Beaten and injured, he manages to reach the marriage ceremony. Then Gholam, Sam’s older brother, comes to his aid and, after clashing with Reza and his brothers, starts to reproach the father of that family. His words lead to a change in the father, who decides to resolve the animosity and agrees to Sam and Belgheys’s marriage.
