In Zahedan, two groups of antique coin smugglers clash, resulting in casualties. One group overpowers members of the other group, and, after raping Layla, the wife of a man named Baluch, two of them head towards the capital. Baluch becomes entangled with the smugglers and is accused of the murder of smugglers killed by another group, he is imprisoned. After twelve years, Baluch is released from prison and uncovers the truth about the smugglers who assaulted his wife. He murders Abdullah, one of the smugglers, in his shop. Before finding Amir, the leader of the smugglers, he meets a woman named Farangis, who tries to dissuade Baluch from killing Amir. Baluch learns about the relationship between Amir and Farangis and kills Amir. He then finds his wife in a brothel house and returns with her to his homeland, a dilapidated and abandoned village.
