Shahbal, a member of the Siyah Kuh tribe, gets into a conflict with several people and, injured, rides towards Moosa Khan’s tribe on horseback. Moosa Khan’s sons and some of his men want to kill Shahbal, but Moosa Khan prevents them and entrusts his daughter Ghazal to heal Shahbal’s wounds. Morad and his sister try to take Shahbal back, but Moosa Khan expels them from his tribe. The Siyah Kuh tribe ambushes Moosa Khan’s tribe to retrieve Shahbal, leading to war and bloodshed. Setareh is a fortune-teller’s daughter, considered a witch by the people. She foretells the fate of Shahbal and others. Gradually, Ghazal and Shahbal develop feelings for each other, and following the opposition of Ghazal’s brother, Moosa Khan gives Shahbal a chance to leave his tribe. Asad, a warrior of the tribe, nominates himself to marry Ghazal. After tribal wars and chases, Morad’s men attack Moosa Khan’s tents and take Ghazal with them. Shahbal, Asad, and Moosa Khan are killed, and Ghazal approaches Shahbal’s body, joining hands with him as they disappear into the distant horizon.
