Hasani, a young boy infamous for his laziness and drowsiness, becomes the subject of various failed attempts by his town’s people to combat his indolent nature. His mother’s scheme to lure him out of the house using apples leads him into the desert, influenced by a madman. Mistaken for a thief, Hasani is captured by camel riders and later proves his innocence by thwarting real thieves, earning a ring from their leader. Encountering talking pigeons, he receives a magical hat and feather for virtuous protection. After years, the pigeons return and guide Hasani to infiltrate the Sultan’s palace, where he outwits the Sultan, releases prisoners, and escapes on horses. Despite capture attempts, he prevails. During a wedding, soldiers and a magician confront Hasani, but the magician perishes, and a guest’s endorsement clears his name. This leads to the cancellation of a forced marriage, and Hasani weds the Hakim’s daughter. Post-wedding, he and his wife return to their hometown.
