Lor's daughter | Dokhtareh Lor | دختر لر

PersianSocial 90 min 1933

The film tells the story of Gulnar, the daughter of a rich merchant, who was captured by thieves in the attack of the bandit Qolikhan during the looting of their city, and now her career has been reduced to dancing in a coffee house in Lorestan. As the years pass and Gulnar grows up, Qoli Khan shows interest in him. In the coffee shop, Gulnar meets a young man named Jafar, who was sent to Lorestan by the government to solve the problem of bandits. Jafar and Gulnar gradually become interested in each other and decide to run away. Qoli Khan learned about their plan and offered Jafar to join the bandits. Jafar rejects his offer and is imprisoned by Qali Khan, but with the help of Gulnar, he is freed from the bandits and decides to escape with Gulnar. The bandits chased them and got into a fight with them, during which several of the bandits, including Qali Khan, were killed by Jafar. Fearing the revenge of the remaining bandits and the lawlessness of Iran at that time, Jafar and Gulnar fled to India and lived in Mumbai. Later, when these two find out that law and order has been restored in Iran with the arrival of the new government, they return to Iran.
