In Tehran in the 1950s, a young Jewish couple named Daniel and Munis, like many other Jews, aspire to migrate to the Promised Land. However, because their uncle Jacob opposes Zionism, they face opposition from the Haganah organization, which is a Jewish paramilitary group. Some time later, Jacob is killed by Yitzhak, a member of the organization, and Mirza Mohsen, a neighbor of Jacob who had come to help him, is arrested on charges of murder by the police. Mirza Mohsen was a religious person and had come to assist Jacob.
