In the years leading up to the revolution, Dr. Matini was initially a student activist. However, he conspired with his father-in-law, who was among the leaders of SAVAK, to betray his comrades in exchange for a more comfortable life. After the revolution, his wife and family left the country, and Dr. Matini, seeking redemption for his past actions, donated all his possessions to the hospital and dedicated himself full-time to another hospital.

One of his students, who is also a nurse, becomes enamored with Dr. Matini’s selfless character, admiring his commitment to making amends. This admiration leads to a close bond between them. However, the nurse’s fiancé, Afshin, becomes suspicious of their relationship, suspecting that there might be betrayal involved. This situation creates tension and conflict in their personal lives as they grapple with questions of trust and loyalty.
