Ali is a farmer who loses his second child due to a lack of medical facilities. He decides to bring his only son, Jalal, to Tehran for education. Despite all of his father’s efforts to send him abroad for medical studies, Jalal graduates and becomes enamored with life outside the country. He writes to his father that he has no intention of returning to his homeland.
