Khatereh, the fifteen-year-old daughter of Nahid (Pardis Afkari) and Behrouz (Khosrow Shakibaei) Sharafat, goes missing on her birthday, transforming the celebration into a somber occasion. Despite tireless efforts to locate Khatereh, the desperate search yields no leads, leaving her parents, Nahid and Behrouz, heartbroken. Nahid falls ill due to the tragedy, while Behrouz gets caught up with the Intelligence Bureau. Colonel Nassiri, a family friend, joins the effort to find Khatereh. As the investigation expands, a young man named Mohammad Reza, Colonel Nassiri’s son, becomes a suspect. However, it is revealed that Mohammad Reza had feelings for Khatereh and once saved her life. During a family gathering, the topic of fortune-telling comes up, leading Nahid to seek out diviners for answers. Meanwhile, Mohammad Reza leaves a note explaining his intention to find Khatereh’s memory. At home, Behrouz receives a mysterious phone call indicating Khatereh’s survival. Voices of lost children are heard at the telephone center, assuring their parents of their well-being.
