A man loses his wife during childbirth, and he, too, perishes in an accident. The newborn baby is deemed ominous or thought by everyone to bring bad luck. Against the wishes of his wife Kobra and his son, Karim takes on the responsibility of caring for his nephew Shahram, the newborn baby. Due to a fall down the stairs, Karim loses his eyesight, and his son wastes their wealth. Shahram escapes from his uncle’s house and encounters Morteza and his uncle on the way, who is bankrupt and homeless. Shahram brings luck to Morteza by winning a billiards game and proposing to Behjat. After marrying her, he takes charge of managing his father-in-law’s business. Kobra and her husband work in their house as servants. To cover the expenses of her husband’s eye treatment, Kobra takes some money from Behjat’s handbag, and Shahram reveals that Karim is his uncle. After Karim’s eye treatment, they all live together.
