Sohrab Salar goes from Abadan to Tehran for work and starts working at his uncle Mostafa Salar’s factory. Sohrab meets a girl named Taraneh, who is pregnant. Taraneh’s guardian, Asghar Zhila, with a plan, tries to frame Sohrab as the father of the child so that Sohrab bears the expenses of Taraneh’s delivery. Sohrab falls for his uncle’s daughter, but Taraneh is on their way. Sohrab and Taraneh argue in a boat, which capsizes, and Taraneh drowns. The police arrest Sohrab as the murderer, but eventually, Sohrab is released. However, after his release, everyone shuns Sohrab.
