Tambourine | Dāyereh zangī | دایره زنگی

Moḥammad is dispatched to a well-to-do apartment building in uptown Tehran to install satellite dishes despite satellite TV being illegal in Iran. He arrives with Shīrīn, who appears to be his girlfriend and is urgently trying to raise money to fix her father’s car after an accident the day before. Inside the building, each resident is preoccupied with their own troubles, but they all share the same impatience: they want their dishes installed immediately, pushing Moḥammad (and Shīrīn) into a web of competing demands and private urgencies.
