Panāhī records his day-to-day life inside his Tehran apartment while under house arrest, as he waits for the outcome of his appeal against a six-year prison sentence and a long ban on filmmaking and related activity. Filmed with a mix of camera formats (including iPhone footage), the documentary follows him speaking with family and his lawyer, watching news, and reflecting on what it means to make films when making films has been forbidden. The work was ultimately smuggled out of Iran to be screened at Cannes on a flash drive.
