Key Frame: In May 2024, Cinema Iranica at University of Toronto in association with Elahè Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute of Iranian Studies started a biographical docuseries entitled “Key Frame”. Each episode depicts the life and works of an Iranian cinematic figure. The first episode of this series is about Dariush Mehrjui, one of the greatest Iranian filmmakers.
Dariush Mehrjui was born on December 8, 1939 in Tehran, and was murdered on October 14, 2023, at the age of 83. He was a founding member of the Iranian New Wave movement of Cinema in the early 1970s.
