Saeed Nouri is a filmmaker, researcher, and founder of the Wings of Desire Institute. He holds an MA in Film Direction from the University of Art, Tehran, and a Ph.D. in Cinema Studies from the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ), France. His work spans fiction and documentary filmmaking, with a particular focus on Iranian cinema in exile.

A former member of the Cinémathèque Française (2006–2012), Nouri has collaborated in film criticism and scholarly debates under the mentorship of Jean Douchet and Nicole Brenez. He has directed multiple short documentaries on exilic Iranian filmmakers, contributed to several book projects, and conducted over 20 short-film workshops across Iran and France. His writings regularly appear in Filmemrooz magazine, and he remains an active participant in international film festivals, including Cannes.
